SYRIS'S JOURNEY INTO STORYTELLING:

An avid writer and reader his entire life, it took Syris 22 years to understand he had a gift with the written word. At that time, he had submitted a written document to the Pentagon requesting early separation from the US Air Force. Reading his 30+ page packet, the Secretary of Defense was moved by his words. Due to a change in personal beliefs about the use of violence to resolve conflict, Syris was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. It was at this time that Syris fully realized the power of the written word and its ability to shift, determine, and create our reality.

Pursuing a mastery of writing, he first learned professional screenwriting at the esteemed UCLA Writers Extension program. Simultaneously, he became a salaried copywriter. Combining a comprehensive grasp on the structure of fiction and copywriting, he began to write/edit nonfiction books. Quickly building a reputation as a savant of the craft, Syris became a guide for renowned leaders as well as everyday humans, helping tell their stories and distribute their wisdom.

In July of 2024, Syris's first authored book will be published after spending the last few years co-writing 10+ books with others. In addition to being a sought-after editor working closely with Penguin/Hay House, Wiley, BenBella, and other publishers, he is well-versed in the self-publishing process. He also helps prospective authors write compelling book proposals yielding six-figure advances.

Syris has devoted his life to the art of storytelling, having universal proficiency writing/editing fiction, nonfiction, and movie scripts, specializing in memoirs, business/leadership, and spirituality. He’s also an actor and film producer living and working in Los Angeles, CA.
